Alva L. Myers, 84, a life resident of Hillsboro area, died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 11, 1967) in Lowell at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Reba Peffley. Mr. Myers was born March 15, 1883 in Fountain County, the son of Eli and Christina D. Bowers Myers. He was married Sept. 19, 1903 to Anna Cory, who preceded him in death in 1958. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Peffley and Mrs. Leona Newkirk of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Marinda Suiters of Marshall; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and had been living in Lowell the past two months. The body is at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. John Servies, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
