COVINGTON, Ind. — Sandra
Mycroft, 65, of Covington, passed away at 1:45 a.m. EST Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2007,
at her residence. Sandra was born on Sept. 8, 1941, in Danville, Ill., the
daughter of Robert Walter Ricketts and Mary Frances Tanner. She married Charles
Mycroft on Sept. 18, 1959, in Covington. Sandra worked at General Electric as
an inspector for 27 years. She also was foreman for Greg Clingan Auctions for
many years. Sandra enjoyed attending auctions, flea markets and feeding her
hummingbirds, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Survivors
include: her husband, Charles; one son, Mike (Deb Tynan) Mycroft; daughter,
Sheila (Charles) Roarks; brother, Kenneth "Butch" Ricketts and Vicki
Ricketts; sister, Fauniel Thurman; sister-in-law, Judy (Gene) Watson;
mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Mycroft; grandchildren, Elisha (Dusty) Goodwin, Yancy
Mycroft, Tyler Roarks and Mitchell (Sarah Rice) Roarks; two very special
great-grandchildren, Reed Goodwin and Adyson Goodwin; special friends, Jack and
Kay Hunter, Patti and Roger Coffing, Nancy and Scott Wallace, Sally Gritten and
Greg Clingan; a special little girl, Angel Goff, and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leonard, Harold
and Leslie; and two sisters, Genevieve and Treva. Funeral services: 7 p.m. EDT Friday,
Jan. 5, 2007, at Sunset's Covington Chapel, 420 Third St. in Covington;
Visitation: 4-7 p.m. EDT Friday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home. Memorials may be
made in Sandra's name to the Arnett Cancer Care, 420 N. 26th St., Lafayette, IN
