MURPHY, Lizzie Evangeline - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Lizzie Evangeline Murphy of Kingman, age 74, died Tuesday evening, May 31, in Union Hospital at Terre Haute. She was born in Missouri, August 30, 1908, the daughter of James O. and Lillie Cunningham Medaris. April 26, 1926, she married Paul Murphy, who died in 1968. Mrs. Murphy was a member of the Kingman Senior Citizens Club and attended the Christian Church. She was formerly employed at Sommer Metalcraft Corporation and Ingress Plastine at Crawfordsville.

  Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Crowder of Dana and Edna Miller of Terre Haute; three sons, Earl of Tucson, Arizona, Beryl and Paul of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mae Quinn of Chillicothe, Illinois, and Hazel Davis of Lacon, Illinois; a brother, Clarence of Chillicothe, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Jim Lane officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. – thanks so much to S
