Funeral services for Elmer J.
Murphy, 75 years old, president of Robbins Electric Company will be held at 1
p.m. Tuesday in Flanner & Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Washington Park Cemetery. Mr. Murphy, who resided at 3007 Washington
Boulevard and at Miami, Fla died Saturday of a heart attack at his farm near
Seymour. Mr. Murphy had been president
of the electric contracting firm at 622 East Market Street more than 40 years
and had been associated in the company with its founder, Earl Robbins who
retired eight years ago. A native of Veedersburg, he had lived here more than
55 years. He was a 50-year-member of
Capitol City Masonic Lodge 312. Surviving
are the widow, Mrs. Essiemay Murphy; a son, Elmer J. Murphy Jr of Indianapolis;
three sisters, Miss Ted Murphy and Mrs. Nell Richardson, both of Indianapolis,
and Mrs. Emma Whitman of Frankfort and two grandchildren. - kbz
