WEST LEBANON, Ind. --- Earl H. Murphy, 69, of West Lebanon and a life resident of Warren County, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday (Nov. 6, 1970) in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient a day. He had been in failing health a year. Born near State Line, May 16, 1901, he was the son of Geno anal Mary Clark Murphy. He was married July 5, 1924 at Covington to Pearl L. Ricketts, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louise Benedict of West Lebanon; a sister, Mrs. Ida Mae Gee of Williamsport Route 2; two brothers, Java and Ted Murphy, both of Williamsport Route 2, and two grandchildren. Mr. Murphy had resided in West Lebanon for 50 years. He had been employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co., in Attica for 20 years, retiring in 1962. Since that time, Mr. Murphy owned and operated Murphy's Card Room at West Lebanon. He had served on the West Lebanon Town Board for 11 years, was a charter member of West Lebanon Lions Club and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at the DeSutter Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Thompson officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. --typed by Walt W
