ATTICA — Kinley “Moon” Mullins, 80, 1218 South Perry St., Attica, died 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2000 in V.A. Medical Center, Danville, Ill. He had been ill the past eight years. He was born March 2, 1920 in Stockton, Ill., the son of Johnnie Spencer and Bessie Lou Taylor Mullins. He married Rhoda Cross Sept. 15, 1951 in Frogue, Ky. She survives. He attended school in Rossville. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He retired after 28 years from Harrison Steel Casting Company, Attica. He attended the Methodist Church. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post #3318. He enjoyed fishing and cars and was a CB’er with the handle of Straight 8. Survivors, besides the wife, include: a daughter, Mary Lou (James R.) Campbell, Attica; a son, John J. (Sally A.) Mullins, Oxford; three sisters, Betty Burr, Liberal, Kan., Katie Owens, Florida and Pauline Newcomb, Liberal, Kan.; two grandchildren, Derek Campbell and Shawn Mullins; two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Allison Campbell; two step grandchildren, Jerimiah and John Hall; and a step great-grandchild, Cody Hall. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Funeral services were at noon Friday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Bob Hamblen officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with military services by V.F.W. #3318. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Assocation. – jlr
