MOYER, Laurabelle Glascock - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Laurabelle Moyer, 83 of Crawfordsville, died Monday evening at the home of a friend. She was a graduate of DePauw University at Greencastle and Cornell University. She taught music in Boswell schools. Mrs. Moyer was a member of Who’s Who in Music in Indiana. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she was choral director. She was choral director of the Home Extension Chorus. Born Dec. 29, 1893, she was a daughter of Charles and Kitt Glascock of Crawfordsville. She married Walter A. Moyer on April 21, 1917, at Attica. He died May 26, 1973. Survivors are a son, Charles A. of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Muriel) Briggs of Tarrytown, N.Y.; five grandsons and four great- grandchildren. Services were Friday in Burkhart Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.  – jlr
