MOUNTS, John W.

After an illness of several months with a complication of diseases, John W. Mounts died at his home in West Point Saturday night at 11:20 o’clock.  He was born in Butler County, Ohio, May 27, 1844 and had lived in this county for 50 years. Mrs. Mounts was a veteran of the Civil War and was a member of Company A, 11th Indiana Cavalry.  He was married July 17, 1887 to Ellen Shepherd who survives.  He leaves one son, Harry A. Mounts of Riverside and one daughter, Miss Lottie Mounts of Lincoln, Ill.  He also leaves one sister, Mrs. George Hefner of Veedersburg and two brothers, James and Alonzo Mounts of Halstead, Kan.  The funeral was held from the West Point Methodist Church this afternoon at 3 o’clock.  Rev W Bradley Morgan officiated, with interment in the West Point cemetery. ~~~Transcribed and Type by kbz
