COVINGTON - Charles Mount, age 72, of Danville, Ill., brother of Mrs. Mabel Skelly of Attica, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been in failing health six months. Mr. Mount was born Nov. 7, 1895, in West Lebanon, the son of Thomas and Lottie Smith Mount. He attended schools in West Lebanon and Danville. He was a veteran of World War I. He worked on the New York Central Railroad before he went to work as a bartender. He was active in that trade for 10 years. He was married in 1949 to Mabel Marie Rayl, who preceded him in death in 1961. Survivors include: one stepdaughter, Mrs. William (Marylou) Wittenmyer of Danville; four step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Skelly and Mrs. Inez Hightower of Waynetown. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pape Memorial Home in Danville. The Rev. Don Goodwin officiated and burial was in Spring Hill cemetery, Danville.   -- jlr
