MELLOTT --- Mrs. Pearl Messmore Moser, 76, died at her family home one mile west of here at 6:30 a.m. Thursday after an extended illness. Born Oct. 3, 1882, to William L. and Lavira Strader Messmore, she was a live-long resident of the Mellott community, excepting seven years spent in Pennsylvania. She married H. Lee Moser, Uniontown, Pa., on Dec. 25, 1902, at her family home, which was originally acquired by her grandfather. Mrs. Moser was a member of the Mellott Congregational Christian Church for 64 years and formerly taught Sunday School there. In addition, she was a member of the Pythian Sisters Lodge at Newtown and a charter member of the Mellott Book Club. Surviving is one son, Lawrence Moser, at home. Mrs. Moser was predeceased by her husband on Feb. 28, 1959, and a 17-year-old daughter, Virginia Lee, on July 13, 1935. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mellott Congregational Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call at her home Friday afternoon. - typed by Walt W.

Mrs. Pearl Moser, Mellott, passed away Thursday morning Aug 27th at her home.  Mrs. Moser was born Oct 3, 1882 in the same house in which she died. She was the daughter of William and Lavira Strader Messmore. She was married Dec 25, 1902 to Lee Moser who passed away Feb 28, 1959.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Lee July 13, 1935. Mrs. Moser is survived by a son, Lawrence, Veedersburg rural route. Services will be held Sunday Aug 30, 1959 at 2 p.m. in North Church in Mellott, Indiana with the Rev. RH Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery in Newtown with the Crumley Funeral Home, Hillsboro in charge. – k
