Covington, Ind, March 17 – Deputy Clerk Lewis C. Allen received a message this morning announcing the death of his brother-in-law, Geo. Mosbarger, which occurred at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville at 6:30 a.m. His death was caused from injuries received in this city last Thursday morning when the Klondike in which he was riding was struck by the west bound Big Four passenger train due here at 9:30 a.m. The accident happened at the Big Four station as Mr. Mosbarger was attempting to drive across the tracks. His horse was killed outright and the vehicle smashed to kindling wood. Mr. Mosbarger was terribly injured and was unconscious when extricated from the wreck. He was placed on board the train and taken to Danville and later removed to St. Elizabeth Hospital, but despite the efforts of skilled physicians he gradually grew worse and finally passed away without having regained consciousness. Mr. Mosbarger was born in Perrysville 72 years ago and has lived in that vicinity all his life. He was a successful farmer and stock raiser. Following the inquest which was held at Danville Monday morning the body was taken overland to the home in Perrysville. Besides the widow the deceased is survived by one brother, Monroe Mosbarger of Danville.
