MORTIMORE, Cecil - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Cecil Mortimore of Crawfordsville, age 77, died Thursday evening, June 24, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, He was born in Fountain County, August 29, 1904, the son of William and Elvala Rice Mortimore. May 29, 1938, he married Icie L. Shoaf, who survives. A member of Christ United Methodist Church, he retired from Mid-States Steel and Wire Company in 1967 and from Raybestos Manhattan in 1972.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Marjorie Radke of Baraga, Michigan, and Iris Amos of Timpson, Texas; a son, Lawrence of Coloma, Michigan; nine grandchildren and a great grandchild.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Robert Ostermeier officiating. Burial was in Harveysburg Cemetery north of Kingman. – thanks to s
