MORRIS, V. Ruth Jones - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

V. Ruth Jones Morris of Hoopeston, Illinois, age 87, died Friday evening, June 18, in Vermillion Manor Nursing Home. She was born at Potomac, Illinois, September 17, 1894, the daughter of Frank and Clara Weiser Hall. October 10, 1914, she married Morris Jones, who died March 28, 1939. On March 3, 1941, she married Frank Morris, who died January 24, 1972. Mrs. Morris was a member of First Christian Church at Hoopeston.

  Survivors include three daughters, Adeline Weston of West Lebanon, Emma Eckersley and Mary Ann Sinclair, both of Hoopeston; four sons, George Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Charles Jones of Veedersburg, Robert Jones of Pine Village and Edward Jones of Hoopeston; a stepdaughter, Edna Douglas of Remington; a stepson, Gregory Morris of Forsythe, Missouri; three sisters, a brother; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren.

   Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home in Hoopeston with Rev. Wheeler T. Harden officiating. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. – thanks so much to “S”
