C. Clinton Morris of Covington, age 60, died Monday afternoon, July 27, at work at his home in Covington. He was born at Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, April 18, 1921, the son of Carlos H. and Hattie Cordell Morris. February 3, 1946, he married Ruth Brown, who survives.

  Morris owned and operated Morris Mower Shop since retiring from Olin Matheson in 1976. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and was a member of Covington First Baptist Church, Fountain Masonic Lodge, Terre Haute Scottish Rite and Shrine, Western Indiana Shrine Club and a life member of Fountain County Old Guard VFW.

  Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Annette Sargent of Lafayette and Susan E., at home; three sons, Ronald B. of Brunswick, Ohio, Thomas W. of Lafayette and David C. with the Navy in Charleston, South Carolina; a sister, Mrs. Jean Williams of Brevard, North Carolina; four brothers, Fred of Nashville, Tennessee; Ty and Richard, both of Brevard, and Harold of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and three grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Glenn Ray Sr. officiating. The body was taken to Moore Funeral Home in Brevard for services at 3 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Gillespie Cemetery at Brevard. – thanks to S
