VEEDERSBURG—Mrs. Blanche Olive Morehouse, 75, was found dead at her home here at 1 p.m. Monday. Her body was found by a neighbor, Mrs. Bythia Hershberger. Death was attributed to poisoning and was ruled a suicide by Fountain County Coroner Ralph Nelson. Mrs. Morehouse had been in failing health the past year. Born Aug. 28, 1887, in Fountain County, she was a daughter of John and Loretta Craig Stephens. She spent her entire life in the Veedersburg area. Her only survivors are a sister, Mrs. Nell Marsh of Tampa, Fla.; and a brother, James Stephens of Indianapolis. The body was taken to the Fishero Funeral Home here. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Fishero Funeral Home , for Mrs. Blanch Olive Morehouse, 75, a life resident of the community. The Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard officiated with burial in Rockfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Morehouse was found dead about 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 1962 at her home on Newlin Street by a neighbor, Mrs. Bythia Hershberger. She had been in ill health for about a year.
Fountain County Coroner Ralph Nelson investigated and attributed death to poison self administered.
Born August 28, 1887, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of John and Loretta Craig Stephens. She was married July 1,
1909 to Harry Morehouse. He preceded her in death, Dec. 17, 1956.
Survivors include a sister; Mrs. Nellie Marsh of Tampa, Fla., and a brother, James Stephens, of, Indianapolis. - JZ
