COVINGTON - Mrs. Hazel Moorhous, age 71, a resident of Covington Rt. 2 for the past four years, died at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at her home.
Mrs.- Moorhous was born Jan. 8, 1896 in Harveysburg, the daughter of Perry V. and Melinda Marshall Rardin.   She was married to Oliver M. Moorhous Sr, June 13, 1914.  She was a member of tie Second Church of Christ of Danville, Ill., and had served as a Sunday School teacher and Primary Superintendent.  She had resided on East Madison Street in Danville for 42 years before moving to her Covington Rt. 2 address.
Surviving no addition to the husband, are: two sons, the Rev. Carl Moorhous of Des Plaines, Ill., and Oliver Jr. of Covington Rt. 2; one half-brother, Fred DeWarton of Okeechobee, Fla.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and one grandson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here.  The Rev. Dean Schrumpf officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington  - jz
