Hillsboro - Clarence Moore, 73-year-old farmer of this community died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville after a four-month Illness. He was a son of James M. and Mary Meyer Moore and was born south of Hillsboro Oct 25, 1883, living all his life in Fountain County. He was a member of Prairie Chapel Church here and of the Cain Township Farm Bureau. Mr. Moore also was an Honor Roll member of the Purdue 5-acre Corn Club.

His first wife, Margaret Gegner Moore died in January 1919. He was married March 11, 1925, to Sadie Campbell who survives with three children by the previous marriage: Donad Moore of Waynetown and Mrs. Gertrude Rafferty and Mrs. Mildred Crowder of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are a grandson, Ernest Moore with the Army in Korea; one brother, Raymond Moore of Wallace and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Bilsland of Waynetown and Mrs. Lillie Elmore of Alamo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Prairie Chapel Church. Rev. Thomas Linton of Lebanon will officiate and burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
The body was taken to the family residence Wednesday afternoon. It will lie in state at the church an hour prior to the services - kbz
