Kingman -- Mrs. Ruth D. Moody, 65 of Kingman died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 1971 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute where she had been admitted a short time earlier. She had ben ill some time and had recently undergone surgery. Born June 19, 1906 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of George C. and Leslie Matilda Jackson Allen. She was married 11 June 1927 in Kingman to Edward Moody, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Lichtle of Crawfordsville; six sons, Marlin, Wayne and Allen of Kingman, Donald of Lafayette, Gene of Williamsport and Ronald of West Lebanon; four sisters, Mrs Myrtle Martin of Indianapolis; Mrs. Eve Leintz of Danville; Mrs. Waneta Keller of Kingman and Mrs. Leoda Hines of Judyville; two brothers, Deward Allen and Lewis Allen of Kingman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Woodrow Fun Home. The Rev. Harry Hybarger will officiate. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
