MOFFITT, Jesse - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Jesse Moffitt of Veedersburg, age 90, died Sunday morning, January 10, at his home. He was born near Newtown, November 8, 1891, the son of Dan and Annalina Moffitt. His parents died when he was four years old and he resided with Sam and Emma Boatman from that time until his marriage on August 15, 1916, to Edna Wilbur. She died March 11, 1971. A retired farmer, he was a member of Osborne Prairie Church.

  Survivors include a sister-in-law, Carrie Boatman of Covington; a brother-in-law, Everett Wilbur of Veedersburg; three nieces and two nephews.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Loren E. Todd officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. – thanks so much to “S”
