Waynetown -- The funeral services of William Moffett were held Fri. aft. at two o'clock at the Christian Church. Rev. PJ Lough was in charge of the ceremony and the burial was at the Masonic cemetery west of town. The following obituary was read during the services at the church. William L. Moffett, son of Henry and Rebecca (Glover) Moffett was born on Scott's Prairie Oct 18, 1841 died May 10, 1916 aged 74 years ? months and 23 days. He was married to Martha Anne Cade April 20, 1866. To this union there were born 3 children: Harriet O. Wilkinson, Rebecca N. Ingersoll and Herny L. Moffett.

Waynetown, Ind – May 10 – William L. MOFFETT died at his home here at 8 o’clock this morning. Since giving up active farming about 15 years ago, Mr. Moffett has resided in this town. The deceased was a brother of the late Dr. Thomas Moffett of Crawfordsville. His is survived by 3 children, Mrs. Rebecca Ingersoll, of Waynetown and Mrs. Harriet and Henry Moffett both living near Waynetown.
