Mark H. Moffett, whose death we record from the Kansas City Star, was superintendent of the Waveland town school for 1898-99 and 1899-00. He went from here to Livingston Montana. We are indebted for the clipping to Mrs. Perla Petty Conover, a graduate of the class of 1900. "Mark H. Moffett, who came to Kansas City in 1916 and founded the Moffett Realty Company with his brother, E. E. Moffett, died late yesterday at the home, 6250 Wornal Road. He was 60 years old. Mr. Moffett was stricken with pneumonia Saturday. His condition became critical so swiftly that his physician did not have him removed to a hospital. Born Feb 3, 1872 in Owen County, Indiana Mr. Moffett attended the country schools in his boyhood. After two years at Indiana State Normal at Terre Haute, he transferred to the University of Indiana where he received his bachelor of arts degree. He taught school in Waveland, Indiana and after several years there, he was made superintendent of schools at Livingston, Montana. Later he served in the same capacity at Port Arthur, Texas and then came here. Mr. Moffett was a member of Arat Shrine Temple and the Kansas City Athletic Club. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Geneieve B. Moffett of the home, and two brothers, EE Moffett, 4963 Ward Parkway and Webster V. Moffett, Bloomfield, Indiana.
