MITCHELL, Russell "Hiram" - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg -- Russell "Hiram" Mitchell, 64, a life resident of Veedersburg, was found dead in his home at 11 a.m. Thursday. Death was attributed to natural causes. Mr. Mitchell was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of Charles Forest Post 288 of the American Legion & VFW at Covington. He was born in Veedersburg Jan 21, 1906, a son of Orville & Florence Stonebraker Mitchell. Surviving is a brother, Earl of Veedersburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Forest I. Mitchell. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parham Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smythers officiating. Interment will be in Bonebrake Cemetery.
