COVINGTON—Mrs. Mary Della Mitchell, 69, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient the past two days. Mrs. Mitchell was born Aug. 11, 1890 near Portland Arch in Fountain County, the daughter of Richard H. and Mary Hickman Blue. She married Charles (Mitt) Mitchell in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1955. She had been a life resident of Covington. She lived at the Ingram Nursing Home here since last December. Survivors include four brothers, Squire of Covington, William of Hillsdale, Lewis of Covington and Samuel of Danville, Ill.; and one sister, Della Bruce of Danville. Eight brothers and sisters are deceased. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Glenn Ray officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Mrs. Mary Belle Mitchell, 69, a life resident of the Covington community died at 2:05 a.m. Sunday July 24, 1960 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where she had been a patient two days. Born Aug 11, 1890 in Fountain County near Portland Arch, she was the daughter of Richard H. and Mary J. Hickman Blue. She was married in 1948 to Charles (Mitt) Mitchell who preceded her in death on July 19, 1956. Mrs. Mitchell had been making her home at the Ingram Nursing Home in Covington since Dec 1959. Survivors include four brothers: Squire and Lewis both of Covington; William of Hillsdale and Samuel of Danville and a sister, Mrs. Della Bruce of Danville. She was also preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. – kbz
