MITCHELL, Cassie Everson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Cassie Mitchell, Perrysville, died at 3 a.m. Monday at the Americana Nursing Home in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient three weeks. She had been ill for six weeks. Mrs. Mitchell was born Sept. 6, 1868 the daughter of James and Margaret Patterson Elverson. She married Robe Mitchell on April 3, 1913. He preceded her in death Jan 21, 1950. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Elverson and Mrs. Inez Newman. A life resident of the Perrysville-Covington area, she graduated from Perrysville High School and attended the United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bodine and Shelby funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery.

Covington - Mrs. Cassie Mitchell, 84, life resident of Perrysville and Covington died at 4 a.m. today in Americana Nursing Home at Danville, Ill where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been seriously ill six weeks. She was a daughter of James and Margaret Patterson Elberson and was born September 6, 1888 in Perrysville. She was a Perrysville HS graduate and attended the United Methodist Church. Her husband, Robert Mitchell, whom she married April 3, 1913, died Jan 21, 1950. Nieces and nephews survive. Mrs. Mitchell wa spreceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Robert H. Miller will officiate with interment in Lower Mound Cemetery.   --kbz
