COVINGTON — Dr. Clarence O. Misenheimer, 80, a chiropractor here since 1923, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday in the State Hospital, Logansport, where he had been a patient since Nov. 13. Dr. Misenheimer had been in ill health a year. Born at Misenheimer Springs, N. C. he attended Lenoir College, Hickory, N. C., and was graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic at Davenport, Iowa, in 1923. He moved here immediately after finishing chiropractic school and had practiced here since. He was married in 1912 to Rose Smyer at Newton, N. C. He was a member of Covington Methodist Church. Surviving with the widow are a son, Ben Misenheimer of Monticello; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Adamson of Lincoln, Mass:, and Mrs. Rose Martin of Rt. 3, Covington; a brother, J. Reid Misenheimer of Shelby, N. C.; and three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Ingram of Badin, N. C., Mrs. Nora Redwine of Albemarle, N. C., and Mrs. Bess Cromer of Columbia, S. C. Friends may call at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, after 6 p.m. Wednesday and after noon Thursday. Services at 2 p.m. Friday in Covington Methodist Church, the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington. Body to lie in state one hour before services. Surviving are 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.   -- typed by Walt W
