Lowell Minnick, 79, of Covington Route One, died Sunday, ec. 17, 1978, at the Americana Healthcare Center, Danville. He had been seriously ill five weeks. He retired in 1965 after being an oil distributor for the Fountain County Farm Bureau for many years. Since 1968, he had been employed parttime at the Covington IGA. Previously, he had been a route driver for Schlosser Brothers Creamery in Warren County. A life resident of Fountain & Warren counties, he attended Stone Bluff School. He was a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church. Born Nov. 7, 1899, in Fountain County, he was the son of Frank and Mary Ray Minnick. He married Ethel Simmons, who died Jan. 4, 1966. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John (Rosann) Goodin of West Lebanon, Mrs. Jean (Betty) Galloway of Attica and Mrs. Ed (Janet) Myers of Covington; a son, O. K. of Monrovia, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. J. Lee Foster of Attica Route 1; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Layton. Services at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Nolting officiating. Burial in Osborne Prairie cemetery. – jlr
