Veedersburg - Mrs. Ethel Minnick, 66 died Tuesday (Jan 4) in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville Ill where she had been a patient since Sunday. She was born in Fountain County Aug 17, 1899 to William and Ada Orahood Simmons and was married to Lowell Minnick of Veedersburg. She was a member of Veedersburg Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, her mother, Mrs. Ada Roberts of Veedersburg; a son, O.K. Minnick of Monrvoia, Calif; three daughters, Mrs. John (Roseann) Gooden of West Lebanon; Mrs. Gene (Betty) Galloway of Attica; Mrs. Charles (Janet) Myers of Covington; a brother Emmett Dodson of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Edith Howerton of Mt. Carmel, Ill and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at p.m. at Fishero Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Weaver of Indiana Harbor officiating, assisted by Rev. Mrs. Edith Bruner. Burial in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Lowell (Ethel) Minnick, age 66, a resident of 1302 Fourth St., Covington, died unexpectedly at 3:30 a. m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient since Sunday. Death was attributed to a heart condition.
Mrs. Minnick was born Aug. 17, 1899, south of Veedersburg, the daughter of W. E. and Ada Simmons. She was married in April, 1926, to Lowell Minnick, who survives. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Veedersburg.
Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: her mother, Mrs. Ada Roberts of Veedersburg; four children, Mrs. Janet Myers of Covington, Mrs. Betty Galloway of Attica, Mrs. Roseana Gooden of West Lebanon and O. K. Minnick of Monrovia, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Edith Howardson of Mt. Carmel; one brother, Emmett Dodson of Veedersburg; and seven grandchildren.

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Donald Weaver officiating assisted by Rev. Mrs. Edith Bruner. Burial will be in Osborn Brairie Cemetery north east of Covington.
