MINICK, Goldie Drollinger - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Goldie A. Minick, 84, of Rt 4, Veedersburg, a charter member and Sunday School teacher at Veedersburg Church of God, died Sunday while visiting relatives in Shelbyville. She had served as VP of the church's auxiliary. Mrs. Minick was born Oct 28, 1893, a daughter of Wilbur and Melinda Cory Drollinger. She married Archie Minick. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Audrey) Lowery of Veedersburg and Mrs. Marion (Ethel) Overpeck of Alamo, Texas; four sons, Walter of Fairmount, Ill; Dewey of Monticello; Angus of Rt 4, Veedersburg; and Simon of Wingate; 31 grandchildren 44 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Veedersburg Church of God with Rev. James R. Best officiating. Burial will be in Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dickerson Funeral Home here 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. The boidy will lie in state one hour prior to service.
