Mrs. Mary Belle Millikan, 84, mother of Mrs. Richard (Elsie) Overley of Lafayette, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital, where she had been a patient four weeks. She had been in failing health one year. Born at Green Hill, she resided at Tangier most of her life, and was visiting her daughter here when she became ill. She was married in 1910 to Vernal Millikan, a farmer, who died in 1960. Mrs. Millikan was a member of Fairview Church at Tangier. Surviving with Mrs. Overley of Lafayete are three other daughters, Mrs. Helen Kiger of Brookston, Mrs. Chester (Lorene) Davies of New Richmond, and Mrs. James (Margie) Brook of Tangier; three sons, William H. and John Millikan, both of Tangier, and Gene Millikan of Kingman; and a sister, Lula Nicklas of Covington. --typed by Walt W
