MILLIKAN, Gertrude Thomas

Tangier, Ind.—Mrs. Gertrude Millikan, 87, of Tangier Route 1, died at 4 p.m. Friday (June 7, 1974) at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
She was born in Tippecanoe County, on April 11, 1897, the daughter of Hurschel and Rhoda Wilson Thomas. She was married on March 29, 1908, to Lester Millikan, who survives.
She was a former schoolteacher and a member of the Fairview EUB Church in Tangier, where she had taught Sunday school for some 40 years.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Marshall of West Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Millikan of Tangier and Mrs. Lula Nicklas of Covington; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. - s
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Rockville. The Rev. Eston Brook officiated and burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Montezuma. -s
