WILLIAMSPORT — Vola Mae Miller, 77, former resident of Williamsport, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999 in Regency Place, Lafayette. Born Oct. 21, 1921 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Jacob and Eva Nell Wantland Miller. She was raised in Williamsport and graduated from Williamsport High School and Butler University. She resided in California where she was a secretary for 15 years for the president of North American Aviation. She relocated to Indianapolis and worked as a secretary for RCA for 10 years. In 1984 she moved to Lafayette and later lived in Tippecanoe Villa before moving to Regency Place in May. She enjoyed knitting. Survivors include: brother, J. Melvin Miller, Mobile, Ala.; sisters, Loueva Perry, Carlsbad, Calif., and Joyce Ashmore, Crystal River, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Marilyn Farley and Clydine Ransom. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Highland Cemetery, Williamsport, with Pastor William Overbay officiating. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, is in charge of local arrangements. – jlr
