MILLER, Ruby Alderson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ruby S. Miller of Rt. 2, Covington, passed away at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Danville at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday after being ill for three months.

  She was born on January 19, 1905 in Francisville, Indiana, the daughter of Charles W. Smith and Grace Alderson. She was married to Wayne L. Miller on September 8, 1929. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1958. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

  Mrs. Miller had resided in Covington most of her life and was a graduate of Covington High School. She was associated in her husband’s employment with the Miller Chevrolet-Buick dealership from 1938-1959 in Covington, Kingman and Kentland. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Covington, past President of Gramma Epsilon Chapter of Psi Iota XI Sorority, member of Fountain County Chapter of OES #204 of Kingman, and past president of the Covington Women’s Club. She was very active in community affairs.

  Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Stella B. Trimmer of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Geneva Kay of Covington.
