Hillsboro - Mrs. Rena Miller, 77, widow of Julius Miller died Tuesday morning at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where she had been a patient eight weeks. A resident of Hillsboro and vicinity most of her life, Mrs. Miller was born May 10, 1877 in Parke County. Her parents were Oscar and Mary Elizabeth Reed Sweem. She married Julius Miller May 26, 1895. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Fraternity Bible Class. Surviving are a son, Albert Miller of Warsaw; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Crowder of Yountsville, and Miss Josephine Miller of Robinson, Ill; two brothers, Robert Sweem of Tacoma, Wash and Edgar Sweem of Ashland, Neb; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Cutler of Tacoma, Wash and Mrs. Maude Cox of Smartsburg and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the husband who died in 1935, a son, Robert Miller and a daughter, Mrs. Estel Rice. The body was taken to the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hillsboro Christian Church with burial at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
