VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Myrtle F. Miller, 71, of Veedersburg Route 3, died early Tuesday (Feb. 2, 1971) at her home in the Campbell’s Chapel community. Born June 4, 1899, in Finney County, Kan., she was the daughter of Charles and Emma Dike Melvin. She was married Sept. 3, 1924, at Wingate to Paul Miller, who survives. Mrs. Miller was a member of the United Methodist Church, WSCS and was a Sunday school teacher for the EOWO Class. Other survivors include two sons, Russell D. of Winchester, Va., and Gene D. of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. LaVera Macke of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Clyde Melvin of Alamo and Howard Melvin of Aguilar, Colo.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Alamo High and attended Indiana Normal at Danville, Ind. She taught in the Covington Elementary School System. The body is at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Arrangements are incomplete. – jlr
