Mrs. Janet K. Miller, 40, of Covington Route 2, died at 11 a.m. Thursday (December 28, 1977) at her home.
Vermillion County coroner Nick Karanovich listed cause of death as self-induced suffocation. She had been ill 10 years.
Born July 22, 1937, in Newport, she was the daughter of Delbert and Ida Mardell Brazeal Sykes. She was married on June 11, 1954, to Donald L. Miller, who survives.
Other survivors include five children, Gene, Donald, John, Lori and Lisa, all at home; two brothers, James and Dick Sykes, both of Clinton; three sisters, Nancy Albin of Terre Haute, Linda Anglemyer of Decatur, Ill., and Mrs. Flora Fay Johnson of Danville; her mother, Mrs. Ida McLain of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and her father of Clinton.
She had been employed at Peterson Puritan Inc. the past three years.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
She was a member of the Friends Church in Newport.
