MILLARD, Grace Higbee - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Grace Higbee Henry Millard, 50 of Attica died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville early Saturday where she had been a patient since May 20.  Mrs. Millard was born in Danville June 7, 1907 the daughter of Owen and Grace Martin Higbee . She was married to John Henry on June 16, 1929.  He died in 1939. She was married to Dr. WC Millard of Danville on Nov 13, 1942. Dr. Millard died in 1953. Mrs. Millard resided in Attica from 1929 until Dec 1953 when she accepted a position as public relations manager for the Swiss Cleaners in Indianapolis. She was forced to give up the post in Aug 1956 because of ill health. Mrs. Millard was a member of the First Christian Church of Indianapolis. Survivors include a son, John G. Henry, Green Bay, Wis; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Perry of Danville and Mrs. JoAnn Massey of Covington; the mother, Mrs. Grace Higbee of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. RG Miller, Sr of Chicago and four grandchildren.  Services were held at the DeSutter Funeral Home Monday with Rev. Douglas Dickey officiating.  – kbz
