Mrs. Mary Ann Miles, age 65, a resident of the Veedersburg community most of her life, died at 10 p. m. Monday, July 17, at her home following a year of failing health. Born Feb. 13, 1896, near Wallace, she was the daughter of William A. and Margaret Whitaker Krout. She moved to Veedersburg with her parents as a child. She was married Aug. 28, 1919, to Walter Miles, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. David L. Burch and Mrs. Charles Walker, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Leon Lowe of Veedersburg; a son, Vernis at home; two brothers, Ivan and Clarence Krout, both of Veedersburg; and a sister, Mrs. Viola Hutchinson of Mellott. She was preceded in death, by a brother, Charles. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Veedersburg (Hillsboro). The Rev. John R. Servies of Crawfordsville will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery near Wallace. --typed by Walt W

VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Mary Ann Miles, 65, a lifetime resident of Veedersburg, died at 10 p.m. Monday in her home. She was born Feb. 13, 1896, in Veedersburg. Her parents were William A. and Margaret Whittaker Krout. On Aug. 28, 1919, she married Walter Miles. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. David L. Burch of Lafayette, Mrs. Charles Walker of Lafayette and Mrs. Leon Lowe of Veedersburg; a son, Vernis Miles of Veedersburg; two brothers, Ivan Krout and Clarence Krout of Veedersburg, and a sister, Mrs. Viola Hutchinson of Mellott. A brother, Charles, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev.
