ATTICA, Ind. - Mrs. Barbara J. Mickle, 51, of 918 S. Perry St., died at 8:22 p.m. Monday (Sept. 4, 1978) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She had been ill since May. Born July 28, 1927, in Independence, she was the daughter of Eugene and Daisy Sellers Smith. A housewife, she had resided all of her life in the Independence and Attica areas. She attended school at Independence and Williamsport. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church. On May 9, 1944, in Covington, she was married to Ira E. Mickle Jr., who survives. Other survivors include her mother of Attica; three sons, Jerry and William, both of Attica, and David of Williamsport; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Speakman and Mrs. Janet Young, both of Attica; a sister, Mrs. June Keisler, and a brother, Robert Smith, both of Attica; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Maus Funeral Home, with Rev Don Green officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. -- jlr
