MESSMORE, Mollie (Mary) Rice - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro, Jan. 3---Mrs. Newt. Messmore died at her home here Monday at 2 o'clock a.m., after having been confined to her home since June with cancer of the stomach. Mrs. Messmore was, before her marriage, Miss Mollie Rice and was born in Richland township, this county. She was 61 years of age at the time of her death. Her parents were pioneers of this section. She is survived by her husband and two brothers, Washington and Samuel of near Newtown. She was a member of the Christian church and a charter member of the Pythian Sisters lodge of this city. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Christian church, Pythian Sisters, assisting in the services. Interment will be made in the cemetery north of Newtown.
