MERRILL, Oscar - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Venita Wade has returned to her home, in Mellott, after attending the funeral services of her son-in-law, Oscar Merrill, in Indianapolis. Mr. Merrill age 51 dears, died suddenly with a heart attack. He had been in falling health for the past five years. The funeral was held at the Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel. Burial was made in the Lincoln Memory Gardens. Mr. Merrill married the former Gladys Wade, Oct. 2, 1936, at the church parsonage, in Mellott by the late Rev. Guy Walters. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Arthur of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Nancy) Walker, of California; four grandchildren; one sister and one brother.   --typed by Walt W
