MELLOTT, Guy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Guy Mellott, 93, of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, March 22, 1977, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient for the past 10 days. He was a member of Christian Union Church and had attended Richland Township schools. Born April 21, 1883, in Richland Township, Fountain County, he was a son of William and Sarah Murdock Mellott. He was married April 28, 1906, to Elda Campbell. She died in 1967. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Wreatha) Linn of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Edith McKnight of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Daisy Benson of Menlo Park, Calif.; and two grandsons. Services will be at 2 p.m. Fri. in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Mr. Mellott's grandson, Robert Linn of Norman, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Camphell's Chapel Cemetery near Hillsboro.  -- jlr
