Veedersburg, Ind.—Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fishero-Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg for Lawrence Earl Meihls, 72, of 309 W. Harrison. He died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday (May 29, 1974) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been since May 15.

  The Rev. Charles M. Wood II officiated with burial in Bonebrake Cemetery.

  Born July 18, 1901, in Attica, he was the son of Milton Henry and Mary Frances Custer Meihls. On Jun 24, 1924, in Kingman, he married M. Gay Massey, who survives.

  Mr. Meihls was a veteran of World War I. In 1960, he retired from Harrison Steel Casting Co.

  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James (Patricia) Sheets and Mrs. Robert (Wyona) Easter, both of Lafayette; seven sons, Milton, Paul, Gordon, and Ronnie, all of Veedersburg, Eston of Killen, Tex., Charles of Sairhope, Ala., Darrell of Laporte; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Bowen; 30 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda; two brothers and two sisters. -s
