MEARNS, Charles Vernon - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles Vernon Mearns of Flint, Michigan, formerly of Veedersburg, age 70, died Friday, July 2, in Flint. He was born at Tilden, Illinois May 25, 1912, the son of Charles and Lula E. Butts Mearns. He had retired from the Fisher Auto Body plant in Flint.

  Survivors include the widow, Lucille; a son, Roger of Livonia, Michigan; two sisters, Ina Mae France of Catlin, Illinois, and Ambia Gayle Coffman of Veedersburg; two brothers, James Butts of Orlando, Florida, and Carl P. Butts of Veedersburg; and two grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday in Flint. – s
