MAYS, Marth Ella Simmerman - 1899

Marth Ella, daughter of Stephen and Mary Elizabeth Simmerman, was born in Fountain county, Ind. March 8, 1860; died July 16, 1899. Aged 39 years, 4 months and 8 days. She married Daily Mays, April 8, 1882 and to this marriage were born three children, two of whom have passed on before, leaving one child, husband, and two sisters with other friends to mourn their loss. The deceased was an average woman in strength and health until about six months ago when she took what is known as tuberculosis, and from that time failed until July 16, when death gave her relief. She was a kind mother, a loving wife and a good neighbor, and all who knew her! will miss her. In her last moments she expressed herself as being very happy. The funeral services were conducted at the house Tuesday by Rev. S……..n, after which the remains were interred in the Veedersburg cemetery. – jlr
