Mrs. Emma Myrtle Maymon, 73, of Byrneville, died Thursday morning, December 11, in Albany. She was the mother of Irvin Maymon of Covington, principal of Covington High School. Mrs. Maymon was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Byrneville. Surviving besides the son is her husband, Virgil; three other sons, Leroy of New Albany, Harlan of Georgetown, Indiana and Robert of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs. Dorris Byrne of New Albany and Mrs. Irma Finn of Georgetown; a brother, Lemar Fouts of Louisville, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Swarnes Funeral Home in Ramsey and burial was in Byrneville Cemetery. -- jlr
