Kingman, Ind - Fred Mayhew, 74, a resident of Detroit, Mich, the past 42 years and a former resident of Yeddo, died at his home there yesterday (March 9, 1965). Born Sept 22, 1890 in Fountain County, he was a son of Charles and Malinda Shanks Mayhew. He was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge 33 at Logansport. Survivors include the widow, the former Kathryn Royce; a son, Robert and grandson. The body is being returned to the Woodrow Funeral Home for services at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Yung Sheng Chen will officiate. Friends may call Thursday evening. Yeddo Masonic Lodge 636 will conduct Masonic rites.   -- kbz.

Funeral services for Fred Mayhew, 74, a former resident of Yeddo, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Yung Chen officiating.  Yeddo Lodge, 636, F. and A. M. held Masonic rites at the grave in Centennial  Cemetery.
Mr. Mayhew was born Sept. 1, 22, 1890, to Charles and Melinda Shanks Mayhew.  He married Katherine Royce who survives. He died in a physician's office in Detroit where he had lived 42 years and where he had been employed as a machinist.  He was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge 33 of Logansport, Ind.  He attended the Presbyterian church in Detroit.
Besides the widow, a son Robert R. of Chicago, and a grandson, Rohert M., Chicago and several cousins survive.
