MAYER, Mary Hicks - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mr. Harry Hicks passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Mayer in Meacham Township Monday afternoon at 1:30 aged 72 years 11 months and 18 days. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in the home and interment made in the Phillips cemetery. Mr. Hicks was a dentist by profession, but since his retirement some 10 years ago, has made his home with his sister. Although I didn’t find an actual obit for her, Mary Mayer died 7 July 1956 – The Kinmundy Illinois Express had a small section from the town of Meacham that says, “Our community was very sad to hear of the death of Mrs. Mary (Hicks) Mayer – Thurs 12 July 1956 Kinmundy Express p 3
