Hillsboro - Mrs. Myrtle Maudlin, 85, died Saturday morning in Lake View Hospital, Danville, Ill where she had been admitted the day before. She had been in failing health for an extended period. She and her husband Lawrence who survives had lived on a farm near Hillsboro for 54 years. A daughter of the Rev. Charles and Anna Humrichouse Waggaman, she was born June 24, 1882 in Humrick, Ill. She married Jan 2, 1908 in Georgetown, Ill. Surviving in addition to the husband are two sons, Roy of Medford, Ore; and Herschel of Hillsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Brown also of Hillsboro; two brothers, Paul Waggaman of Georgetown Ill; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a infant son Lewis and 3 brother, two of whom died in infancy. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley--Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. -- kbz
