Laurence C. Mast of Danville, Illinois, age 79, died Monday night, June 22, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville. He was born in Ogden, Illinois, April 5, 1902, the son of William and Maude Blaisdell Mast. September 17, 1922, he married Dorothy H. Harvey, who survives.
A member of McKinley United Methodist Church, he was a member of its board of trustees, administrative board and choir, the Chorus of Vermillion and Brotherhood of Electrical Workers of America. He retired in 1967 after 40 years as a crane operator for the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Owen of Danville and Mrs. Norma Turner of Kingman; two brothers, Gerald D. of Sacramento, California, and Clyde M. of Fallon, Nevada; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at McKinley United Methodist Church in Danville with Rev. Paul Pasketwitz officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. Pape Memorial Home was in charge of services. – thanks to S
