Attica - Alice Kathryn Miles Massing , 81 1102 N 3rd St, Attica died at 7 p.m. Saturday Feb 14, 1998 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. She was born in Fountain County Sept 25, 1916, daughter of Cecil R. and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Miles. She married Maurice Massing May 14, 1935 in Crown Point. He survives. SHe had been a resident of Attica since 1935. She attended school in Warren County and graduated from West Lebanon HS in 1934. She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Attica since 1963. She was a former member of the Baptist Church in Attica and Phythian Sisters. She was a member and past matron of Attica Chapter #125 OES. Surviving are the husband a daughter, Phyllis Kathryn Martin, Murfeesboro, Tenn; 3 sisters, Margaret Davis, Attica; Lois (WIlliam Mielke, Danville, Ill; Helen Davis, Peoria Ill; two brothers, Robert Miles, Pine Village and Donald Miles, Williamsport; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Billy Miles. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica with Rev. Marcos Gilmore officiaitng. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 pm today, Tuesday.
